About our Program

Welcome to the 2nd season of theatre here at Lufkin High School! This year, things on stage are heating up quickly with 4 productions this season! Things are sure to be quite busy!
In October, LHS Theatre paid tribute to the best playwright of them all, Shakespeare, as we performed one of his most notable dramas, "MacBeth."
Come back in November for "Lend Me a Tenor," a farce about an inspiring singer who gets his chance in operatic stardom when the lead falls unconscious. In February, sound hits the stage when the department puts on the adored, classic musical, "The Music Man." Finally, the spring will produce it's One-Act Competition Play, which at this time is To Be Announced.
Experienced theatre-goers and newcomers alike are probably eager to see the plays right away. Don’t worry too much! Updates on the production and rehearsal of the events will be posted on the homepage in the “Department News” section. Also, be sure to visit the “Thespian Society” tab to learn more about the leaders and most dedicated students of our department.
Rehearsals for "MacBeth" are already underway. Please check back often for more information, and be sure not to miss the performances!
